When I was about 8 I got one of those little Kodak Instamatic cameras for my 'big' Christmas present. I've been snapping away happily ever since. I've had a variety of cameras since the little plastic box, but I'm currently using a Fujifilm Finepix S5200.
I work as a learning support worker with people with learning disabilities, largely teaching gardening, so expect plenty more macros of flowers, slugs and slowly ripening vegetables. When I'm not pointing my lens at the local flora and fauna, you'll find me at gigs, camera in hand, of course.
Originally from London, I've lived in Reading, Watford, Liverpool and Vancouver, and I'm currently in Warrington in Cheshire, UK.
Update: I finally invested in a Canon EOS 400D, although I still carry my trusty Finepix with me at all times.
My colleague Sharon and I have been running weekly sessions in photography for a group of adults with learning disabilities. I have now set up a Flickr account for them to show off their work: the MacIntyre Warrington Photography Group.
