Established in 1989, VISIONS Service Adventures is an international summer program for teens, and middle school students, that blends community service, cultural immersion and adventurous exploration. Some summer programs are French or Spanish language immersion.

Small groups of students and their leaders live in the heart of impoverished host communities where they accomplish construction and other community service projects—agricultural, environmental, activities with local children—and internships with artisans, farmers, fisherman, and micro-businesses.

We work and socialize with community members. Carpenters or local maestros teach construction skills. High school (or middle school) summer volunteers build schools, housing, medical clinics, community centers, irrigation canals, cisterns, bridges, playgrounds and more.

Time is also always carved out for exploration and recreation and for learning about the culture from our hosts.
