I’m Lou Gold, an American now living the retirement of my dreams in Brazil. In previous times I have been a university professor of American politics, a cabinet-maker, woodworker and artist. Prior to retirement I was an environmental storyteller and defender of the forests of the US Pacific Northwest.

Brazil is the most vibrant, sensual, cordial and spiritual place that I have ever visited and it contains some of the richest ecosystems on earth. It's a dream come true for a storyteller-photographer who is interested in culture, nature and spirit -- that's me.
