I'm a liberal moderate addicted to his stream. Some times it's terrifying. Sometimes hilarious. It's photojournalism from behind the lines. Raw. Sincere. Incredible. The life of a soldier in a far away land, fighting a controversial war. But there's so much more to VS than his uniform, violin and camera. I met him through Jokers and Degraders, got drawn into his Afghanistan photos, was inspired to stay more involved in what's going on in the world, off-blogged him for more details of what his life is like, and now I'm proud to call him my friend. He's quality to the core. A good man. I look forward to his photography after he gets home.
