Keen amateur photographer interested in landscape, and candid (street) photography. Now digital, but with a love of simpler equipment. Career engineer, based in the UK, but life has taken me overseas and I am now retired.

Photography is important to me as it allows me to express myself, indulge in attempts at creativity (as far as I am able), and, importantly, it allows me to communicate my culture to others and appreciate their culture.

Born in Scotland, educated in Tyneside and the English Midlands, lived in Yorkshire for nearly 30 years. Married to a beautiful and tolerant lady, with three grown sons, three lovely daughters in law and five beautiful granddaughters.
