I have a fondness for street art and architectural details that nobody else notices. I especially like buildings that are named. Some are obvious - the name over the doorway is the name of the street. Some are descriptive or proprietal and often have "the" or "building" in the name. My favorites are the more enigmatic. Perhaps the namer saw a mythical paradise instead of a city four-flat, or wanted to pay tribute to someone of personal importance. I wonder about their motivations. I want to know the stories.
