I like to search flickr for favorites and my favorite source for favorites is a tour through all of my contacts' streams -- a process that I do gradually, a few streams a day.

If I fave a photo of yours, you're a contact. If you're a contact, I'll probably fave at least one photo of yours...and leave obnoxiously long comments. There's no mistaking when I've made a self-guided tour through your stream. I make a lot of noise when I'm banging around a thread. If that bothers you, just let me know...but as candid as I am, I'm also one who finds the silver lining and believes in saying something positive if it's at all possible.

The only thing I dislike here are the photo snobs who think their portfolios (and flickr cred) will improve if they trash others in comments and give low scores or ratings in the groups. I never find that kind of insecurity impressive and I'm not about to start here on flickr. I'm much more impressed by the obviously talented people who gladly take time to help those less skilled.
