The MAIN thing I love about photography is... there are no limits... the possiblities are endless...

Hi! My name is Vicki, and litterally everywhere I go my camera goes with me! I have an overwhelming passion for all types of photography but especially portraiture, there is something so magical about working with somebody to capture a split second, which they will then treasure for the rest of their lives. I love taking the time to get to know people on their shoots and let their personality and emotion shine through every photo. I think of photography as an art, what I capture through my lens is only the first step in creating this piece of artwork for you. How I discovered photography...

I have always been the type of person who takes a gazillion photos every where I go but I developed a real interest in photography over 2 years ago when I wanted to take more intricate photos of my handmade jewellery. I went on a Nikon Training course and that was it... I was hooked! As my interest for photography grew, my other hobbies began to take a back seat, I literally spent all my free time either out shooting or looking at other photographers work for inspiration. After a few months of learning how to work my DSLR camera I soon realised I had a real love for portraiture. Just as I began to get into my portraiture, me and my partner re-located to Japan on a 12 month working/holiday visa to teach English. We both loved it there and it did my photography the world of good! Being faced with something different is inspiring alone, but everything I saw was new and exciting. I started to look at the world in a completely different way... admiring the colours and detail on a tiny dragonfly’s wing, studying the different colours and reflections the sunset could produce and seeing beautiful birds high up in the trees that I had never noticed before. Seeing the world how it would appear through my camera lens... That was when I knew, I want to do for the rest of my life, this is my passion. When I was in Japan I was lucky enough to work with some stunning models which allowed me to learn how to interact and instruct the model for them to feel completely comfortable and most importantly enjoy the over all experience of a photo shoot.
