Initially a photo account was set up for Vecchia Casa in Umbria with the aim of providing photos to assist guests in finding the house, but I've enjoyed sharing the changes which have been made to the house, my work in the garden and of our truly beautiful area.

I'm not a skilled photographer by any stretch of the imagination, nor do I have any of the advanced editing packages, or a modern camera, but still hope that I offer some photos which give you an idea of how truly beautiful green, green Umbria really is, from the countryside to the ever changing sky with its beautiful sunsets, sunrises, cloud formations and at night, a blanket of stars.

We are very lucky to live in a region where there are no large cities, little traffic, but best of all, it's unspoilt. Our fortified hilltop towns overlooking hills, woodland, olive groves and fields are idyllic.
