Hi, my name is Olivier... I always found my family name too long so very quickly, I reduced it to my initials: VDA.

I worked in Paris as creative in advertising: Senior copywriter and Senior Art Director. I then became Creative Director, but today I regret spending more time in meeting than actually creating.

Now I live in London. This city inspires me and surprises me: I always discover new areas with their own vibes which encourage me to pull out my camera and capture specific moments.

I always liked photography. I'm a 100% self taught photographer. I started when I was 6 with my father's Instamatic 133-X, then I played with his Olympus OM-1 SLR in the 80's... I progressed with a Canon 350D, then a 5D MkII ... which ended up in the sea. A drama for me… Now I have a canon 6D.

I like landscapes, architecture, cars... but I prefer travel and cultural documentary photography. I would love to travel more around the world taking pictures, but it's hard to conciliate with a job and no sponsor. Perhaps one day... ;)
