I returned to San Diego, CA almost 3 years ago after living on the East Coast for the previous 9(ish) years - Washington DC, Virginia, New Jersey, Massachusetts.

I've always loved to travel but really picked up the travel bug when I backpacked through Europe for 7 weeks in 1997 after graduating college - Brussels, Paris, Barcelona, Florence, Capri, Rome, Salzburg, London and Edinburgh.

I previously worked for the San Diego Zoo & San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park, so you'll likely see a lot of animal photos sprinkled throughout my photo sets. A great opportunity to see some amazing animals up close and personal. It was a pleasure to work for such a distinguished and caring organization. Their focus really is on conservation and protection.

I'd love to stay in contact with folks around the world who are photo buffs! I like to say I'm a mediocre photographer with a great camera. I'm hoping to better learn the features of my Nikon and hopefully the shot quality will improve as time goes on! I also need to bone up on my Photoshop skills, so that I can play around with black & white shots, remove powerlines, etc.
