A photo is a stream of light, cast in a form rendered by the photographer in conspiracy with the universe. I take photos of people, places and things. Photos of moments dear to the heart. Photos of stories and possibilities. Not to transport them from one place and time to another. Not to re-live them. For that would be impossible. I take photos to remind me of all the beauty there is in everyday life, even when it seems like it is not there. I take photos to allow for moments of deep and honest nostalgia.
