This Flickr account was originally created to support my video game and toy blog that can be found at www.vault1541.com. I was working on uploading over 3,500 game ads from the '80s and '90s to Flickr but after surpassing 2,000 images in about a two year span Flickr announced it was going to charge accounts with over 1,000 images an annual fee. While I would have been willing to pay a one-time fee for storage (was only using 0.3% of the allocated space), I cannot continuously pay a fee for the many, many years I'd like people to enjoy viewing the ads. Unfortunately, the best I could do was upload them to Facebook so please visit the Vault 1541 blog or go directly to Facebook if you'd like to view them. For my weekly ads upload I also provide a blog post and will highlight some ads there as well. I've completed deleting many of the images I had uploaded through 2018 but I did try and save every image that users had selected as favorites (hope I didn't miss any) to a single video game ads album and will keep some others around, and perhaps add some more as I continue my project (I'll aim to keep game ads to 250 or less). Going forward I'll instead place photos and other images that relate to the blog on this account. Thank you to my original four followers and to everyone who viewed the ads.
