Thanks for stopping by my Flickr page! I'm an eclectic photographer who enjoys capturing just about everything the world has to offer, using all kinds of cameras—including a few that your grandparents may have owned.

Somewhere along the way I was also bitten by the G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) bug. Since then I've collected a variety of vintage film cameras from the 1940s through the 1970s, many of which still find their way into my creative process.

My love (or addiction!) to photography began in the Netherlands and, as you've probably noticed, has happily continued here in Canada.

I studied Graphic Arts in Eindhoven, the Netherlands (Reproduktie Teken Opleiding), and spent 38 years working with film photography. My journey started with a humble Beirette from the former East Germany and an even cheaper Russian Zenit. From there I graduated to some wonderful machines: the Nikkormat FT2, the Zenza Bronica SQ-A, the Nikon F3HP... and, well... the collection kept growing.

This quote by Ansel Adams hits it home for me “There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.”
