Amateur photographer living in Florida. My first 35mm camera was an Olympus OM-1. I loved black and white photography then and still do now. My first DSLR was a Nikon D-90. Currently using a Sony a7ii and Olympus OMD EM1 with vintage lenses. For lighter carry, I use micro four-thirds gear. I got an Olympus Pen, EP-5, because it reminded me of earlier film cameras. And also have a Lumix GH2, GF1, and G1. I prefer manual-focus lenses and have several vintage lenses, including the OM Zuiko 50mm lens that I purchased with the OM-1 in the early 80s.
Originally, I started using Flickr just to save and share photos that I like. Over the past few years, I have collected more vintage lenses than I can keep track of and recently realized that Flickr would be a great tool for organizing images according to lens type. This helps me to not only keep track of some of my lenses but more importantly to see examples of images taken with those lenses grouped into albums. By doing this, I am able to see the qualities and weaknesses of each lens. Additionally, I hope it might be a useful aid for others who want to investigate and compare different lenses.
Glory to God in the highest, and peace to His people on earth!
