Hello, my name is Alex Vanderkooy and I'm a semi-professional photographer living in South Florida. I've been shooting with SLRs for over 15 years now. I used to shoot a lot of concerts and live events. I guess you could say that was my area of specialty, although I can do any type of photography to suite your needs... portraits, fashion, weddings, architectural, journalism, travel, nature, whatever. I have experience both as a wedding photographer and a wedding videographer. I also have experience shooting commercials for local television and have dabbled in making music videos.

I'm was a student in the BFA program for 2D studio art at FAU. I ended up leaving about 80% of the way through to pursue a successful career in IT. Although my passion for photography and art has never subsided. I also am extremely experienced in professional audio, particularly live sound mixing but also music production and DJing.
