Vandenberg is home to Space Launch Delta 30 and manages Department of Defense space and missile testing on the Western Range, and placing satellites into polar orbit from the West Coast, using expendable boosters (Delta II, Pegasus, Taurus, Minotaur, Atlas V and Delta IV).
