No longer expected to work, I can use my time as I please! I have had a life-long interest in art and photography and have had a limited amount of training in these subjects. I regard myself strictly as an amateur and just enjoy making images . I struggle a bit with"technical things" -computer, internet, printer and even cameras but I am so grateful that I am now able to produce, print and share (on Flickr.) what I do. I really appreciate the privilege of viewing the outstanding work of other Flickr. members. The internationality is a tremendous bonus.

Equipment: Until recently I used a canon DSLR with various interchangeable lenses. Now, due to diminishing carrying power, I have switched to a Nikon b700. I find it surprisingly satisfactory - I can do most of the things I did with the canons and am not "burdened" by its weight.

2024 Thanks to all of you who still view my pics and sometimes comment. I am very grateful and sorry that I cannot 'click" or write much now. Hey Ho - the garden weeds are ok for flies and birds!
