My purchase of a Panasonic/Leica DMC-LX1 camera several years ago had opened a new horizon for me to creat very portable digital artforms.
But finding time outside regular work to make these captured images presentable to the public is a challenge.
I strife hard to capture my pictures at the 'critical moment' in time to attempt to tell a visual story. Most of the time, I also find myself chasing after the light that illuminates scenes that others are not willing to wait for.
Some of the older photos were originally taken with a Minolta Maxxum 7, 24-105mm Maxxum lens, using Fujichrome Sensia or Ilford FP4 Plus films. The images were then digitally scanned using a Minolta Scan Multi-Pro.
More recent photos were shot via the Leica zoom lens on my Panasonic LX-3, and LX-5. Both of which were sold in order to be able to afford a Sony RX100, which I carry with me at all times now. The RX100 serves as an extension of my eyes and acts as my visual sketchpad. I have no more excuses not to do more serious photography.
I added photos taken from my first dSLR, a used Konica-Minolta 5D body using my old 24-105mm, and 80-200mm Maxxum AF zoom lenses. Later, after retiring a heavier Sony A300 dSLR body, along with an old 50mm f/1.7 Minolta Maxxum AF lens, I switched to the Sony NEX5N and 5R with the Zeiss 24mm Sonnar f/1.8 retrofitted with a 35 yr old Leica 50mm F/2 Summicron-R lens and a 45 yr old Leica Elmar-C 90mm f/2 lens. Then, further upgrade to the Sony A7 Full Frame system, with A7, then A7s, A7iii, alone with a trustable A6000 body using a variety of lenses, Zeiss 35mm, Leica Summarit-M 35mm f2.5, Sony 10-18mm f4 zoom, Zeiss 55mm f1.8, Sony 85mm f1.8, and adapted for a variety of old Minolta MD Rokkor lenses: 24mm, 35mm, 45mm, 58mm, 85mm, 100mm, 135mm.
More recently, I process all my RAW files using Luminar software, which then fine-tuned with just Photoshop Elements with Nik plugin (especially my beloved Silver Effex Pro for B&W) for final upload to Flickr.
