About my icon…
Webster defines an icon as anything devotedly admired…
Well, I took this shot of my amigo on Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2007…My wife and I first visited Cabo on our 20th wedding anniversary in 1994 and have returned 15 times since…we’ve seen this troubadour every time, trudging up and down in the hot sand peddling his wares, eking out a living…he reminds me of my father, working in the shipyards until he was 70 years old and the government forced him to retire…after that, he rapidly went down hill…like my Dad, my amigo here is a true icon to me…

To the Midwest sign assholes, ESAD mofo...
PLEASE…don’t bring politics or religion into my area…There’s enough of that elsewhere and quite frankly, they bore me…both are 100% fiction!!!
Also, those stupid flashing gizmos or requests to join groups that have those stupid ‘post 1 - comment 50' labels on them…I'll comment or "like" something when I feel like it and not before...
Muchos Gracias

Tom has a wry wit and keen eye for the unique. His photostream is well worth a visit!
One of the most awesome persons I've ever met...
Every time I see his work in my contact's stream, I'm amazed. He gets exponentially better with every shot.
I stumbled across Woodwork several months ago, and was intrigued by his photos and observations. I then became very much impressed by his wit, candor, humility, and love he has for his family. He is truly one of the greats on Flickr.
