I am a physicist/engineer and an amateur photographer currently living in Pisa, Italy.
I am originally from Lithuania, and I have moved to Tuscany recently, after spending 7 years in Leeds, UK, studying for a PhD in electronic engineering.
I was interested in photography back in Lithuania, however, my passion really picked up during my time in Leeds. The beautiful landscapes of Northern England and Scotland inspired me to pursue this style of photography, and therefore my photostream is dominated by Yorkshire landscapes.
Lately I have been particularly interested in long exposure photography, be it star trails stacked from multiple exposures, or daytime long exposures facilitating strong ND filters, which can produce unusual and sometimes surreal results.

A brilliant and talented photographer, a great person and a wonderful friend, inspired by his work I started to develop appreciation for Landscape Photography. His photographs are amazing. Vaidas is always enthusiastic to go out shooting, trying new stuff and always willing to help. I had the privilege to meet him during my year abroad in England and thanks to him I was able to explore and shoot the countryside of Yorkshire. We had good time and a lot of great adventures in company of great friends. I’m looking forward to see him again someday, Thank you Vaidas !
