Uvdal is situated along route40, about 1,5 hours north of Kongsberg and about 2,5 hours from Oslo. The area is known for outstanding natural features and historic icons such as the two stave churches. Included in the area is also parts of the Hardangervidda National Park, the highest mountain plateau in Europe. In winter it is a popular skiing destination, and in summer it offers a wide specter of activities such as hiking, fishing and white water rafting. Nearby is also the well known Langedrag Nature Park where you can meet wolves and elk up close.
