WHAT'S HERE

Some 6,500 sketches (produced using a field kit detailed below), photos of over a 1,000 table top abstract sculptures and more than 3,000 portraits. (see Sculpture park and Portraits in Albums for the full collections).

Equipment and materials

Sketches are currently made with a B lead in a Faber-Castell clutch pencil while some earlier work used a Staedtler permanent ink pen (.05mm) or a biro (in meetings). Paints are held in a 'legacy' Winsor & Newton field brush box butchered to hold 44 'artist quality' half pan Winsor & Newton watercolours. Sketch books are A6 Winsor & Newton spiral bound with 170gsm/80lb. paper all applied with a medium Sakura Koi water brush -portraits are sometimes painted with field brushes: a Pro-Arte Prolene Plus or the sadly no longer available Winsor & Newton metal sheathed variety.
