About the Dr. Alfred & Suzi Osher School of Music at the University of Southern Maine.

Excellence is the hallmark of the Osher School of Music. Located near the coastal and mountain regions of Maine in the heart of Maine's population center, the Osher School of Music is a dynamic hub of artistic and educational activity. Students benefit from having the vibrant greater Portland arts scene at our doorstep, and we've achieved nearly 100% placement of our music education graduates.

Our alumni are in positions of music leadership throughout the country. In addition to becoming top-rated professors, many have gone on to sing at world-renowned institutions such as the New York Metropolitan Opera (the Met) and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and become Grammy winners in the instrumentalist category. Many have also attended graduate school at major universities and conservatories, including Yale University, New York University, and the New England Conservatory of Music.
