Air Force 7 Summits Challenge
Drag to set position!
We are a group of active duty US Air Force members who have been climbing together since 2005 in an effort to put the USAF into the record books. In a show of pride in our Air Force and our nation, we want to make America the first nation to have members of its military reach the famed '7 Summits'. The '7 Summits' are the made up of the highest peak on each of the seven continents. No military or governmental organization has ever accomplished such a feat and we would be honored to make America the first.
We do pushups on the summit of each peak in memory of the Airmen who have died serving since 9/11 and to raise money for military charities. We also work hard to promote personal fitness and to give the American public a fresh look at the personal lives of its military members. The USAF 7 Summits Challenge is registered as a tax exempt 501(c)19 War Veterans organization.
We are currently not sponsored by the USDOD and use personal time and funds to complete this program. As of 2012, we have successfully climbed the highest peak on six continents, with just Mt. Everest of Asia left. We plan to complete our mission of taking the US Air Force to the top of the world and summit Everest during the spring of 2013.
