Hi, my name's Joseph and I'm a photographer.

*A little bit of history of where I'm coming from...*

I've always had a passion for photography from an early age. Though I grew up wanting to do something in the computer field , I've always wondered what it would be like to be a professional photographer. I would watch YouTube videos of famous photographers such as Zack Arias, Kai Wong (#digitalrev), Jared Polin (#froknowsphoto), etc and always be inspired to shoot more and more. The only problem was, I didn't have a camera! I've never owned a point and shoot nor have I ever had the budget to afford a DSLR. That is, until I entered college where I saved up to buy my very first DSLR: Sony a200. Those were inspiring times.

I finally began to get my feet wet in the realm of photography and I loved every instance of it. I began shooting more and more and learned an incredible amount of skills and tips from other advanced photographers from various sources, including Flickr!

It's been 3 years since then and I've grown a lot as a photographer. I am now beginning to step into the world of professional photography and am learning something new each day.

Though my primary focus in education is in the IT field, I still have a strong passion for photography and do plan on incorporating a huge chunk of my life in it.

I also am a strong believer in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I wouldn't be the man I am today without the grace and love of my Father; everything I do and have done in my life, including photography, has only been possible by the grace of my Father.

*My focus and specialties in photography*

I primarily specialize in portraits and candid photography but am striving to extend those boundaries to wedding and event photography as well. Time never stops for you, and the only remnants of time we have are stored in our brains. As a photographer, I strongly believe that time can be stopped with each exposure and stored forever.

Everyone has those special "moments" everyone wishes to retain, and I believe those moments can be retained with the flip of a shutter. These phases and maturing life experiences we advance through in life, all things that we wish to remember and preserve, are what I try to capture as a photographer.
