" I photograph to see what something will look like photographed..." Garry Winogrand
I am in love with photography....that's the only way I can describe it.... there's nothing quite like finding a perfect image, beautifully composed & with that undefineable 'something' that means you can't stop looking at it.... this is what I aim for in my photography.... but it's elusive, and sometimes only other people can see it.... I keep looking & shooting, because in the words of the great Henri Cartier-Bresson....
"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst"
I try not to get bogged down in technicalities, I'm not a purist, I love traditional untouched film as well as digital manipulations [well, good ones anyway].... I love my dSLR as much as my 'toy' cameras.... [i am obsessed with polaroids & the Hipstavision app for my iphone....] I shoot bands & protraits as well as fragments of my city....
I will 'favourite' and comment on photographs that grab my attention, I don't expect you to do the same, unless you really like [or indeed dislike!] any of my images. Comment because an image moves you, not because you feel you 'should'.

I love to photograph the urban environment... I'm interested in the way we leave our mark on the city.... I like decay, graffiti, street furniture & photograph everything from peeling paint to manhole covers [usually much to the embarrassment of whoever I'm with at the time....]
So if you see a girl with a camera down the front at a gig, or taking a photo of a no parking sign [my favourite] or standing at a bus stop and photographing the floor, then it's probably me....
