Special Collections (formerly known as Cultural Collections) incorporates the University of Newcastle, Australia's Archives, Rare Books and Special Collections. It is the home of the historical and cultural memory of the University and its regional context.

Our role is to protect and safeguard the documentary history of the University and its regional context for current research and for future generations.
