I became interested in photography about 10 years ago when my dad, a pro photographer for most of his career, gave me his old Minolta lenses. I mounted them to a Sony alpha and was hooked by the solidity and heft of all that metal and glass.

From there it was a short leap to the retro design of the Fujifilm X100 series, and it's been true love ever since. The X100 cameras embody much of what I believe to be true about photography: that the best camera is the one you can take with you, that there is as much beauty in the act of shooting as there is in the shot, and that you should learn to zoom with your feet.

I love travel, wilderness, and architecture, and my photostream reflects that, but I'm trying every day to notice more of what's around me and share it.
