Hai,

my pages are all about animals and nature in general. Escaping from a busy professional agenda I like to wander around and get suprised by the beauty of this intruiging nature that has during all those years developped to a self regulating system...wandering around with my close up / macro lense I often get the impression of doing an interesting journey /travel ... be it that I am sometimes just walking in my own garden or neighbourhood.

I hope that by bringing you these images I may pass over some of the beauty of nature , hoping this might lead to a better preservation of it fo the future generations...

The 2 topics that offer me the most energy & inspiration to photograph are herpetology (amphibians and reptiles ) and insects. They have both driven me to make some interesting travels and trips around the world too... and I hope that I may do some more in the future. I don't mind making shots of other topics as wel, but be it on a lower frequency ...

Trying hard to get the names of the species right ( a challenge) I have been able to rely on various (appreciated) helping hands / contacts, so that by now for most of my images I can add correct latin/scientic names. If you would detect errors or enhancements/additions feel free to contact me.

Did my best to sort out per taxonomic group in my Flickr maps ( a challenge in itself) I have also setup a pdf file where you can access the images per species . Hope this might help the people looking/inquiring for a specific species . You can download the pdf for free at
