I am rediscovering photography with a passion after a couple of decades off. Digital really makes everything so much easier! My chosen instrument of destruction is a Canon EOS 70D that I absolutely love!

 

I also just got a Sony DSC-RX100 compact so I could have a camera to take with me everywhere. This is an awesome little powerhouse.

 

A lot of great photos here on Flickr - very inspiring.

 

So far I have the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, the Canon EF-S 18-135mm IS STM kit lens, the Canon EF 70-300mm IS USM and the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM prime - which has excellent bokeh and very sharp and "contrasty".

 

The 70-300mm is an excellent lens and I'm very impressed with it. The sharpness is superb and the bokeh at long focal lengths is very smooth.

 

On my (ever expanding) immediate wish list are:

 

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM

Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

 

Battery grip

Tripod w/ ball head
