I'm a 42-year-old trail runner and photography enthusiast, living in Reykjavík and working in Southeast Iceland—an ideal setup for someone passionate about nature and the outdoors. I'm married, have four children, and we share our home with a lively dog.

My journey with photography started in 2004 when I got my first DSLR, a Canon Rebel 300D. Since then, it's been a steady passion, sometimes more active, sometimes less, but always present. My main focus is on landscapes, nature, and animals, though I’ve also spent time with portrait and studio photography, which I’ve gradually moved away from.

Recently, I’ve started exploring drone photography, adding a whole new dimension to my work. It allows me to capture familiar landscapes from entirely new angles and perspectives, and I really enjoy the creative possibilities it opens up.

I love sharing the beauty of Iceland with people from all over the world. Some of my favorite locations to photograph include Jökulsárlón, Stokksnes, Eystrahorn, Öræfasveit, Fjallabak, Mývatn, Þingvellir, and of course, various spots where the northern lights put on a show.

As a trail runner, I often find myself in remote places that few people get to see. While I can’t bring a full camera setup on my runs, I make use of my phone to capture the incredible views along the way—thankfully, mobile cameras have come a long way in recent years, making it easier to combine both passions.
