Over the years my creative drive has developed. Arts and crafts have always been a primary interest, even sice primary school. Art is now, I have realized, my passion. It is what I love to do. I need to do it. If everything else fails me, I still have art. Art has its own world beyond the limits of reality. It allows one to create, to turn thoughts and dreams into visuals for others. It allows one to have control over gravity or light even if it’s on a single canvas or piece of paper.

I am majoring in Illustration. The types of art I find myself being drawn towards seem to all be categories that fit under this title. I love Pop Surrealism and the way the paintings and drawings derive their focuses from popular culture and make them twisted or humorous.

However, I realize the basics necessary in creating fine arts are the same for any type of art or design. And I realize that to master surrealism, first one must fully grasp realism.
