Friendly Uncle of Loliinspired who has tens of thousands of pics. Some even of the elusive Loliinspired. But almost all of them scanned using Adobe RGB1998 Color Profile.

Very happily married to the same woman for over 38 years. Two children & 6 grandchildren. [I like grandchildren best because you can have all the fun without the responsibilities. IE: give them all the candy they want. Then send them back home.] 2 Grandsons & 4 beautiful Grand daughters.

Retired Millwright from Delco Products, Dayton Ohio.

I have always enjoyed traveling. I have been in all 50 states, all Canadian Provinces & all Canadian Territories that you can drive to. Also Okinawa, Japan; Bahamas, 3 states of Mexico; England, Scotland, Wales, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland,Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy, Vatican City & Spain.

Hobbies & interests:

Photography, especially restoring old damaged photos, avid genealogist, author of genealogy books, and especially traveling & riding my Dual Sport motorcycle on Arizona's back roads & trails.

Favorite things:

I have read thousands of books & enjoyed most of them. I love the Medieval artists. Especially the ones whose work is in Vatican City & The Louvre.

Favorite places - any mountain, desert, sea shore, plains or hill country. In otherwords - everywhere. All places have something unique & something in common with other places.

Favorite quote:

When the Nazis arrested the Communists,

I said nothing; after all, I was not a Communist.

When they locked up the Social Democrats,

I said nothing; after all, I was not a Social Democrat.

When they arrested the trade unionists,

I said nothing; after all, I was not a trade unionist.

When they arrested the Jews,

I said nothing; after all, I was not a Jew.

When they arrested me, there was no longer anyone who could protest.

from a tombstone:

Remember youth as you walk by

As you are now so once was I

As I am now so you must be

Prepare for death and follow me

One cancer cured, working on getting 2nd cancer cured too. The price you may have to pay, if you smoke too many cigarettes, as I did.

I always loved to travel. I've been in all 50 states & all the Provinces & Territories in Canada that you can drive to. Also Okinawa Japan, Wake Island, 3 states in Mexico, Bahamas, England, Wales & Scotland UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Lichenstein, Austria, Italy, Vatican City, Monaco & Spain .

Even though I'm not that much younger than him (my own uncles are in their 80's and 90's!), he feels like an uncle, especially because of his generous sharing of his knowledge, his finds and his experience. His physical surroundings are breath taking, as evidenced in his shots. May he be flickring forever!

uncle jerry couldn't be my uncle as we are approximately the same age, but I'm happy to add him to my flickr family. He is so kind and helpful and takes wonderful photos. He has fixed old photos for me, and this means more than fixing photos, it's mending pictures that I was so sorry to have ruined, mending past things… Read more
