This collection of images is a project of the UMW Centennial Committee on Photographic Resources. The archival quality images with all the relevant metadata for any given image can be found at the official UMW Archive.

The images found here are freely available as lower resolution versions. There is also an image blog that regularly features new images from the archive that are shared on Flickr. The UMW Centennial Images blog can be found here.

The committee is experimenting with Flickr (an online photo sharing service) as a way to share these images with students, staff, and faculty, as well as alumni and other interested parties anywhere in the world. In order to comment on these images, sign-up for a free account on Flickr here. You are encouraged to share feedback and stories through the site.
