I'm a writer and teacher. My newest book, The Power of Community-Centered Education: Teaching as a Craft of Place, is forthcoming from Rowman & Littlefield. I've published two books of poetry with university presses--The Lit Window (CSU) and The Breaking Edge (UM).

I spend as much time as I can outside--in my gardens and in the Rocky Mountains.

I'm director of a small, rural volunteer ambulance service.
