I've been interested in wildlife and living creatures since so long I can remember. I began birding at the age of 12 and that was a long time ago...

In the analogue days, I used an Olympus OM-2N. Before moving into DSLR's, my digital cameras were Nikon Coolpix 4500 (tried digiscoping but never got friends with the technique) and Canon Powershot S3 IS. I bought a Canon EOS 450D together with a Canon 400/5.6 L in August 2008, and that's when it suddenly became very fun to take photos.

My standard camera now (April 2023) is Canon EOS R7 with RF 100-500 mm. In darker light, and as an extra body, I use a Canon R6. For everyday pictures, I use a pocket camera, Canon Powershot G7Xmkii .

I don't edit the photos very much. I fix the light and color balance, crop them and add sharpness when needed. Since about a year, I use DXO Pure Raw to read the RAW files. The pictures are most often edited using Photoshop Elements. When I changed computer, to my present iMac 27", I felt that I need to make larger pictures. Now my standard size is 2048 x 1536 pixels.
