I have always loved photography, but am ready to take things to the next level. I had a very hard time giving up my 35MM, but finally switched to digital. I just recently bought my first Digital SLR camera. I don't know anything about photo editing so I hope to learn alot from this site!!! (10-07)

It's amazing how much you change in your photographic experience. You go through so many changes as you learn. I have spent the last 6 months or so attached to my prime lens 1:1.4. I love the shallow depth of field. We are moving to Libya so I am about to branch out into landscapes and also purchase PS CS3. I am excited about how my work will change with new experiences and new lenses, etc. (8-08)

I am amazed at how flickr has helped me develop my eye for the great shot. I look back to photographers that I thought were absolutely wonderful when I first joined flickr. Now I find my eye is more trained and I look back at some of those photos and don't like what I see. I also look back at some of the pictures I have taken in the past that I liked at the time (well partially, I am my own worst critic), but I now can't stand them.

I have found some of my favorite photographers on flickr were complete amateurs which is so inspiring. Photography is such an art, just like any other medium. I am realizing it is just as important to master photo editing to make the shots really stand out. My photo editing skills have greatly improved thankfully. And my journey continues....what next? I can't wait. 10/08
