Ann McCarthy is the UK Founder and Project Co-Ordinator for the registered Charity Uganda Lodge Community Projects which is centred around providing support for the parish of Ruhanga through Ruhanga Development School, a Vocation Centre and a Medical Centre plus two fishing villages in Queen Elizabeth National Park in SW Uganda.

Volunteers and visitors are welcome to come and stay at the Uganda Lodge volunteer centre to help at the School, mix with the local community, and offer advice and training according to their skills and interests. Affordable safaris and gorilla trekking also arranged.

Ann visits Uganda several times a year, but lives in Shepperton, UK with her husband Paul plus they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren
