I've always liked to watch and make photos. Before digital I never caught on to the very indirect control chemicals, time and temperature gave me over my b/w. And I wondered whether Kodak hated me personally, why else would they make all my stuff slightly olive-green? Digital gave me the control I aspired to. I love PS but use the tools sparingly: crop, sharpen, contrast, saturation, maybe color balance.

in 2008/9 I took a photo course. It taught me a lot and opened my eyes to how little I knew and how much there is to know.

Paradoxically, it made me take (and post) less pictures, they looked so dumb compared to what could be done....

Now I have to take it from here.

Update 2012: I took a break from Flickr for some time, finding that Facebook, Posterous, Instagram, my own website (ursboegli.ch) and iCloud would serve me just fine. They actually do, but it is nice to see & show pictures on Flickr, too. So I try again, now with the iPhone, fewer groups. And the intention to favor quality over quantity. (Don't we all say that...?)
