Arild Heitmann is one of the best photographer in flickr community that I had enjoyed so much looking at his work. And this testimonial has been long overdue for someone whom deserving of such. His creative flair is an embodiment of her personality; the genuineness of his character is manifested in all his work with all these sums up to his eye for composition and pure/fantastic talent to capture and deliver exceptional photographs. I do believe that without the eye for composition through the viewfinder; with good skill on the camera, you still do not work out a fantastic art piece. In all his work, his desire had conveyed to us the intended message and shared it to everyone. I truly love and admire his work and passion for photographing; and never fails to visit his stream regularly to check if he has any new post and will starts to wonder what he is up to when there is a long silence from him.... I've never met him, but I feel that I know him a little bit anyway. It's fascinating to see how he has developed as a photographer. Since 2005 I've been following his photos. Back then it was mostly casual landscapes with a very little amount of processing. Today he still does landscapes, but at another level. It's photographic art. I admire what he's able to get out of his simple D40 today, and look forward to see what he'll be delivering tomorrow. It won't be disappointing. Keep up the fantastic work!

This guy got me properly interested in photo. I've always liked looking at photos and admiring them, but I only had an analog EOS which wasn't the best way of learning to take good photos myself. Getting to know Arild and going on fishing trips with him where he brought his trusted d40 and the Sigma 10-20 made my interest spark immediately and consequently made me buy my first DSLR. And I've never looked back. Arild basicly explained and taught me everything I needed to know to be able to really learn photography, and I am truly grateful. It is also very nice keeping track of him and seeing how he evolves as a photographer. I am pleased to see that he has found a style/feel of his own, something I am still searching for. But I think I'll soon be there. One thing I've learnt from him is that to become a better photographer, the only thing you can do is take more pictures! In a "few" years, me and him will start a gallery together and make a living out of this. Mark my words! ;-)

You can tell what the person is like through their photographs, and I feel I know what sort of a person Arild is. A nature loving and sincere character that has a great eye for the landscape and a real passion for what he does. His images are of a consistently high standard and beautifully processed. A real expert when it comes to blending :) More importantly, he manages to steer your attention into the picture itself without relying on anything other than the view to engage you. Beautiful lighting, great compositions and an eye for the spectacular are all hallmarks of his work. Dig deep and you won't be disappointed! A constructive and regular commenter on others streams, I wish him all the success he deserves.

You know, Daily I see a lot of seascape, landscape waterscape and so on, from great, professional, amateur and curious photographers, but I always find some minor errors, mistakes, wrong compositions and bad land/sky proportions, this makes me think that your sense, taste for composition and subject balance makes you the only one photographer that I REALY like to. I Love Nature photography & I feel that he really gives us the opportunity to see the beauty of nature. His photos seem to be alive, living images, making Nature itself live and they never cease to amaze me.
