Pratico la fotografia da circa 35 anni,quando per documentare un esame di architettura chiesi in prestito una vecchia macchina fotografica e feci delle foto piuttosto bruttine che a stento non rovinarono l'esito dell'esame. Da allora però ho iniziato a coltivare questa mia passione passando attraverso numerose crisi e diverse pause di riflessione, la foto, insieme alla grafica e alla pittura sono ancora i miei interessi espressivi principali e ogniuno di loro influenza l'altro fino a volte a confondersi o a fondersi l'uno dell'altro. Amo l'arte e la creatività ma non amo il così detto mondo dell'arte che ho sempre evitato per il senso di elite che esprime e anche per il forte legame che ha con il denaro e il potere. La scoperta di Flickr mi ha permesso di avere un canale fuori dai vecchi schemi per esprimere la mia creatività, ed anche se, dopo i primi entusiami, ho capito che anche questo canale ha dei limiti e dei codici non sempre espliciti ne affini alla mia indole e alla mia età, tuttavia mi da la possibilità di dare una vita propria alle foto che faccio e quindi anche a me di esprimermi. Per questo sono grato a Flickr e alle possibilità che mi da. Per quanto riguarda la mia attrezzatura devo dire che non ho i mezzi per usare attezzature costose e complete, daltra parte ritengo che per quello che a me interessa, cioè la potensialità espressiva e creativa del mezzo, non servano attrezzature particolari, che trovo comunque secondarie rispetto alla sensibilità, attenzione e capacità di vedere che una persona investe nelle sue immagini. Ritengo comunque che ogni espressione creativa rifletta chi la produce, ed è per questo che penso che sia molto importante per l'artista non solo la tecnica specifica, ma soprattutto cio che la vita insegna e che una persona che non ha niente dentro di se non fara foto belle neppure se studia tutti i libri scritti, frequenta tutte le scuole e aquista le migliori attrezzature possibili, potrà però produrre tante bellissime, quanto inutili copie di opere altrui.
