I'm a naturalist, ornithologist, writer, speaker, photographer, and artist who wrote (and partially illustrated) A Field Guide to Hummingbirds of North America in the Peterson Field Guide Series and contributed the title essay to Good Birders Don't Wear White: 50 Tips From North America's Top Birders. I'm also founder and director of the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory and garden manager at Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary.
