“Opening computer world to teenagers”

In April 15 -16, 2011 the 8th grade pupil Ahmatova Mahabat have conducted computer and Internet training for 5 pupils of the Batken regional gymnasium school.

First of all Mahabat has arrenged with the head of Public Association “Oluya - Pirim” where she works as the volunteer 2 years.The head of PA “Oluya - Pirim” agreed to provide her witn a room, technical means (computer, laptop), board, markers and books. Then pupils who will attend the training were selected. The group of 5 schoolgirls of 8th grade was created. In April 15, Mahabat hold the first training for the schoolpupils in the office of PA “Oluya - Pirim”. As a trainer she explained them that “ XXI century is a century of Information Technology and if a person wants to be successful he must learn Information Technology”. Pupils learned computer and Internet with great interest. One of pupils said that “We are interested in using computer and the Internet. But there is no this possibility at our school. It would be great pssibility for the pupil if the GYSD project “Opening computer world to teenagers ” will continue in future.”

Two days training was very interesting and useful for the pupils. After the training Mahabat checked their knowledge by testing. As a result their knowledge were improved. Now they can work with several programs, as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and can freely use the Internet.

Mahabat said that “The goal of my GYSD project “Opening computer world to teenagers” was to help my classmates to learn how to use computers and the Internet. Now I achieved that goal, but I do not want to stop it. I want to help for another pupils who want to learn computer and the Internet.”
