I enjoy many aspects of this photo stream. It has a life and a 2 way communicae' all of it's own. TygerLyl (I'll spare the urge to use her name, lol) welcoming folks to flickr as written below is certainly not a surprise to me. After being on flickr one year I have discovered that she is indeed a warm and pretty open person. She puts a huge effort into the community aspect of flickr and it shows in the type of comments she receives in her stream from others. FAR out pacing my comment effort around flickr town here indeed, LOL. She is an absolute positive influence on this sight with beautiful photographs of her often oceanic homes.

Tygerlyl is one of my very first Contacts on Flickr (maybe the 1st one: don’t remember that well). I visit everyday her photo stream and I am glad to see that she improves day by day. Her love for landscapes and especially the Cretan seascapes it’s something obvious. She compares her photos with fondness and diligence. The first period of her “reddish seashores” supersedes a new one with some great compositions of green-blue sea waters, frothy waves, the lighthouse of Chania old port, people that gaze into the infinity of the sea (sitting on a lonely bench), … Great photos indeed… Compositions like “Rocks in Chania harbor revised”, “Splash” or “Last lighthouse” are able to send straight to your face the smell of the chopping sea. Her “Beach at sunset” almost animates the natural phenomena by using successfully the HDR treatment. I can’t forget of course some great photos full of a wistful lyricism, like: “Elderly couple watches waves at the harbor”, “Watching the water” or “View of the lighthouse”… The main thing is that she has a very watchful eye and a power of analysis (if I judge from the way with which she comments the compositions of other photographers). You doing well, Lyl… keep up the good work… - Stef
