What can I say... Michael Ross is a mad man with a passion to light up the night with an arsenal of lights. Probably one of THE most technical and innovative light painters out there! I have had the pleasure of shooting with Mike 3 times, and each time he has more and more exiting gear to show off. Mike truly is a vital element to the light painting community. I was thrilled to see him open up the 1st LP store! Somebody had to do it, and I'm glad it was Mike who pulled the trigger. I will never forget the trip we took to Matagorda bay to shoot with Jake Ramirez. Not only did Mike pick me up in his plane, he let me fly it!!! It was the most unforgettable, epic LP meet ever! I hope I get the chance to run into him again. A man full of fresh ideas, and even fresher light tools. Tip of the hat to you Mike. Shine on you crazy diamond! -Andy

I remember first seeing Mike's photos and wondering why I hadn't run across his work earlier. I rarely take the time to look through an entire stream, but I was hooked after a few pages and couldn't stop. It didn't take long to realize I had found in him a kindred spirit. Since then I have marveled at Mike's inventiveness and creative genius, as well as his willingness to share techniques. His contributions to the light painting community cannot be overestimated. Some of the most enchanting LP images, countless tutorials, innovative new tools, many, many helpful group discussion contributions, the list goes on. I hope you will join me in wishing Mike the best of luck in his new endeavors, which lucky for us are now solely devoted to advancing light painting and fine photography!
