Describe myself, hmm...

Well I'm a single "dad" of a teenage boy, and my life pretty much revolves around his sport and school activities and I wouldn't have it any other way. He's a great student, very athletic, has great morals and I'm very happy and proud that he's a part of my life and that I get to be part of his.

I guess I should explain the quote marks around "dad" above. Trevor didn't start out as my kid, he was a neighbor, but I raised him more on than off from age 3 to age 10, then obtained permanent legal custody at age 13. I just know that he's going to do something great. He's been through so much bad in his life and stays so positive and focused on his goals. We have a good relationship with his extended family and especially his grandmother who is very special to both of us. The parents are a different story... The rest of the tale is way to long to fit in here.

As far as my photography goes, I guess it's more of a sports, documentary, portrait style photography, but I would like to expand in to more artistic regions of photography.

I actually joined flickr to share photos of Trevor's sports tournaments with the other parents/kids, but I have really enjoyed contacts from other members, reviewing and learning from their photos here as well.
