The Woodlands Township Photo Library Use Guidelines

This publicly accessible photo library is owned and managed by The Woodlands Township. Uploaded photos are captured by Township staff and all photos are the property of The Woodlands Township.

Photos included within this library have been taken at public events and/or within public spaces (parks, trails, pathways, streets/rights-of-way, publicly accessible gathering places, etc.) and are therefore obtained in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Users of The Woodlands Township Photo Library agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Woodlands Township, its employees, agents, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from their use of the photo library’s photos. This includes, but is not limited to, claims related to copyright infringement, privacy violations, or any misuse of the photos. Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and The Woodlands Township’s guidelines.

The media and the public may download and use photos within this photo library, so long as the use of the photos complies with the following guidelines:

• Attribution should be given to “The Woodlands Township, Township Staff Photographer”. Additional attribution information, including the photographer’s name when available, is available within the image details of each photo and should be included when providing photo credit.

• Photos may NOT be used for promotional or profit-generating purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, using photos in advertisements, merchandise, political campaigns, or any other commercial context.

• Photos may not be altered, edited, manipulated, or modified in any way. This includes cropping, changing proportions, retouching, or adding elements.

• Be mindful of any photos featuring individuals. Respect privacy rights and obtain consent when necessary.

• Do not use the photos in a way that promotes discrimination, hate speech, or harm towards any individual or group.

• Be aware that policies and guidelines for the photo library may evolve and change over time.
