I've always been fascinated with photography for as long as I can remember, and I've been a taking pictures since I could hold my Grandad's camera. Started out with a box brownie, progressed through various Kodak 110 Instamatics, and eventually into Canon FD SLRs. That led to Canon EF and eventually a 5D Mk I and L-series glass.

Oddly having the best kit I had ever owned in my life led to a hiatus in my photography; my kit had grown so large and heavy I couldn't be bothered to carry it. So one day I bought a Lumix G6 and a 14-140 lens as a lightweight alternative. I never picked up the 5D again. My kit is the smallest it has ever been now, a Lumix GM5 and a 12-32 zoom for 99.9% of the time.

For the last few years I have been focusing (no pun intended) on HDR photography, I just love the hyperreal look.
