Self taught artist. I just woke up one day at age forty and had this obsessive urge to create, which continues.
First 40 years: completely shunned by the art world (true, I wasn't creating anything, but it still stings!)

Mikey..Mikey..Mikey, oh Mikey! The man who woke up one day & realized he was an artist. THANK GOD!! Mikey IS an artist, without doubt. Mikey pushes subject matter that is both personal & strangely universal. Never would i think such a strange & delightful fellow as Mikey would be able to stretch so communicatively...but he does! His work is extremely accessible if you have but half a heart & a bit of intellect. Mikey's work is profound in the way that it expresses 100% more than what is displayed. The art istself is raw & antagonistic; The message is clear: Fear not & do not pitty such ideas...as these are my own!
